Stipend during training period exceeding 1 year

Sir i was recruited as JE bridge under 4200 grade pay but as the duration of training is 2 years i am being paid 2800 grade pay,i have downloaded the letter with grade pays for JE's wrt to thier training period but in that letter the post was mentioned as JE grade 2 as far as i know the grades system has been scraped for JE's.i would like to as you following questions

1.what is my pass entitlement 1st class or 2nd.
2.will the difference in the grade pay will be reimbursed or not.we were given appointment letter mentioning 4200 gp.

Entitlement of IInd Class Pass/PTO for travel in Sleeper Class

         In the PNM (AIRF) meeting held on 7/8th March, 1997, AIRF raised a point that in the absence of clear provision in the Pass Rules regarding entitlement of ‘attendants’ to travel in Sleeper Class, difficulties are being faced by attendants on some of the Railways. It is clarified that IInd Class Pass/PTO holders including eligible ‘attendants’ are entitled to travel in Sleeper Class without any additional charge.

                      As per extant scheme of  Widow Pass, widows of Railway servants who were in service on 12.3.87 and opted for the scheme of Widow Pass or widows of those Railway servants who joined service on or after 12.3.87 and are compulsorily governed under the scheme of Widow Pass are eligible for Widow Pass.

            Issue of passes to the widows of the railway servants is governed by the provisions contained in Schedule V of the Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 1986 (Second Edition 1993). As per these provisions widows of Railway servants who were in service on 12.03.1987 and opted for the scheme of widow pass or widows of those Railway servants who joined service on or after 12.03.1987 and are compulsorily governed under the scheme of Widow Pass are eligible for Widow Passes.

Definition of “family members” and ‘dependent relatives” for the purpose of issue of Special Pass on medical grounds

Ministry of Railways have amended the terms “family members” and “dependent relatives” as contained in para 601(5) and 601(6) of IRMM, 2000 in respect of medical facilities. Consequently it has become necessary to adopt the same definition of family members and dependent relatives for the purpose of issue of special passes to serving/retired Railway employees on medical grounds under the provisions of Schedule VII (Special Passes) of the Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 1986.

    In terms of para 3 of Board’s letter No. E (W) 96 PS 5-8/2 dated 24.07.2000 (S. No. 84), dependent widow mother of a deceased Railway employee has been allowed to be included in the Widow pass as a family member of the widow. However, when the widow gets appointed on the Railways on compassionate grounds, widow mother of the deceased Railway employee is not eligible for inclusion in the Privilege Pass of the Widow Railway employees.

In the PNM Meeting held on 02.09.98 with AIRF the Staff Side demanded that legally divorced sister of Railway servant may be included in the list of ‘dependent relative” in the Pass Rules for eligibility of Pass/PTO, when father is not alive.
