Revised pay limits for entitlement of Duty Pass

Consequent to the revision of Pay Scales, on the basis of recommendation of the Vth Central Pay Commission, the question of revision of existing entitlement to Duty Pass has been under consideration of the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board).

 

2. It has now been decided with the sanction of the President that the existing scales of pay Rs. 7,300- 8,000 and Rs. 7,300- 7,600 indicated in item (1) (a) under Column 1 of Schedule-I of Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 1986, Second Edition-1993, regarding eligibility of Gold Pass to travel on duty on Indian Railways may be revised to Rs. 22,400-26,000 and Rs. 22,400-24,500 respectively. It has also been decided with the sanction of President that the existing basic pay of Rs. 4,500 indicated in item (1) (c) under Column 1 thereof regarding eligibility of  Bronze Pass to travel on duty on Indian Railways may be revised to Rs. 14,300.

 

3. In all other respects, provisions of Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 1986 will apply.

 

4. In view of the above, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article-309 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to direct that the Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 1986 may be amended as in the ACS No. 12 enclosed.

 

5. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways(Railway Board).
