1. On receipt of references seeking certain clarification regarding admissibility etc of Transport Allowance to officers in Grade Pay of Rs. 10000 and above the matter has been examined in Board’s office and it is clarified as under:-
(a) The officers who are availing facility of earmarked official vehicles (Govt. owned or hired) are not entitled for grant of Transport Allowance.
(b) Grant of both the benefits viz Transport Allowance and earmarked vehicle is not admissible to any officer.
(c) If any officer who has availed the facility of earmarked vehicle had also availed Transport Allowance in the past the same has to be recovered.
2. Necessary action on above lines may please be taken while regulating grant of Transport Allowance to officers in Grade Pay of Rs. 10000 and above.
