I am appointed on compassionate ground as Technician III on 01.05.2003 in scale 3050-75-4590 but I was placed under training for 3 years on scale 2820-70-2960 and my stipend stands as 01.05.2003 Rs 2820 on 01.05.2004 Rs 2890 and on 01.05.2005 Rs 2960 and after completing of training on 30.04.2006 I was placed under my old scale 3050-75-4590 and my basic was given Rs 3275 w.e.f 01.05.2006. my question is what will be my new basic in this 6th CPC w.e.f 01.05.2006 and will I get an extra increment as my date of appointment is 01.05.2003. Please give my answer. thanking you. M. Nath

Railway Board circular regarding extra increment is only for EMPLOYEES who were on service before 1.1.06. Trainees/ Apprentice stipend is not mentioned in this.

wanted to know the job profile of GROUP D . full detail. i am a graduate. want to the promotion . .plz reply waitin

Group D is the lowest class of employees of Railways. The work of Group D varies as per the department of Railways. It can be cleaning, oiling of signal gears, fixing railway track etc. Promotion to Group C is through departmental exams which can take any where from 3 - 30 years. Some retire as Group D itself whereas the smart ones get through dept test quickly.

Sir, I am a Medical Transcription (BPO) earning around 15K per month.  My father was expired recently and i am considered for compassionate grounds appointment, but my qualification is only 10th .  I failed in inter as well as in degree through open university, but i am having good communication skills (written and spoken English) and good typing speed, but do not have any type certificate even.

What kind of job i may get with my qualification and can i mention my typing and communication skills for getting better job in my application for CG appointment.

If they give Group D, will you suggest me to choose Railways or stay back in the BPO.

With your qualification you will get Group D only in Railways. Your typing speed and communication speed wont help much in Railways.
On the on hand Railways offer a stable job, but highly hierarchic and giving less opportunities for you for growth(especially with your academic performance). On other hand private sector may value better your non-academic skills. Think well and decide for yourself.

Good evening sir sir mera selection group 'D' secunderabad me handicaped (OH) category se hua hai main right leg se handicaped hun. maine COMPUTER APPLICATION SE BSC(H)kiya hai. yadi main group 'D' post par join karta hu to main kitne samay bad departmental exam de sakta hai promotion ke liye. aur sir HANDICAPED(OH) EMPLOYEE KO KYA SALARY ME KYA SAB EXTRA ADD HOTA HAI MAINE SUNA HAI TA DOUBLE HO JATA HAI AUR HANDICAPED PERSON KA PENSION BHI SALARY ME ADD HO JATA HAI. PLEASE BATANE KI KIRPA KARE. THANKS

Handicap person normally light works like office peon or announcement work is given.

Promotion avenues are very different from Railways to Railways. But you can write departmental exams called GDCE for Graduate level posts where medical fitness permit.

Double Transportaion allowance is given to Handicapped.

Thanks for your kind reply sir. One more question yadi employee join karta hai to join ke kitne din ya month bad wo departmental exam me appear ho sakta hai meri education qualification COMPUTER APPLICATION SE BSC(H) hun?
please reply sir

Sir,

i am selected to group D of Southern railways. I am an MBA student.., what should i do..?

what are the procedure to enroll..?
is there any need to give bond or something..?

if i get  better jobs  in future, is it possible to resign and go for that at any time? is there any channel to do it in a smooth way?

how much is the chance to get promotion through dept. tests? I mean, last year how much people got promotion through dept. tests?

waiting for your replay
