X working as UDC(GP 2400) has been given MACP w.e.f. 20/9/11. On MACP his pay has been fixed as 10200 + 2800. Subsequently he gets promotion to Office Superintendent w.e.f. 1/4/12 in the grade pay 4200. On promotion, only the difference of grade pay is granted. kindly intimate whether the individual is eligible for an increment in 1/7/12 in the new grade pay. if not, whether the individual is eligible to get an increment in the old grade pay as he has completed 6 months in the the GP 2800.
